Hot or Not : Turkish Oil Wrestling
Oil wrestling, also called grease wrestling, is the Turkish national sport. It is so called because the wrestlers douse themselves with olive oil. The wrestlers are always shirtless and wear leather pants called a kisbet, which was traditionally made with water buffalo hide, and most recently made of calfskin.
Unlike Olympic wrestling, oil wrestling matches may be won by achieving an effective hold of the kisbet. Thus, the wrestler aims to control his opponent by putting his arm through the latter’s kisbet…. (No they are not trying to touch their opponent’s penis or ass….even if it looks like this.)
The annual tournament, held in Edirne in Turkish Thrace since 1362, is the oldest continuously running, sanctioned sporting competition in the world.
This is probably the only sports that get lots of “gay attention”. It is the best combination for a gay audience: Hot Turkish men, muscles, hair, leather, shirtless, hands in pants, covered in sweats and oil….I mean come on! What more can you ask for? It is almost the same definition as gay sex, except for the oil part!!
On my next trip to Greece, I’ll make sure to fly to Turkey to see a match… and I heard that Turkish men are very open sexually so… I might get a chance to put my hand in some wrestler’s kisbet!?
Do you like oil wrestling too? I find the wrestlers boiling’ hot!
